Our elders select a theme each year for the congregation to focus on.  It helps guide our efforts throughout the given year and a lot of planning goes into making sure we grow in that area as a body of Christ seeking to serve him to the best of our abilities.

2024:  Be holy for I AM holy

Key Passage:  1 Peter 1:13-16

¹³ Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. ¹⁴ As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, ¹⁵ but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, ¹⁶ since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”

2023:  Knowing God Better

Key Passage:  Jeremiah 9:23-24

Thus says the Lord:  "Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who pracrices steadfast love, justice and righteousness in the earth.  For in these things I delight declares the Lord."
